Jasmine is a climbing plant with star-shaped, white flowers, which originally comes from the Himalayas and China and is now cultivated in many sunny and hot city locations. Jasmine can grow over 10 meters high. In India it is called "moonlight in the grove". For thousands of years in China and the Orient, fragrances and aroma substances have been extracted from jasmine, for example for tea flavouring or as perfume oils. Jasmine is one of the indispensable ingredients and heart notes of perfumery.
